Happy New Year

 
We would like to wish you a happy and prosperous new year. The new year is a great opportunity to reflect back and consider what is working well and what could be improved. Workbooks aim is to provide you with a platform that gives you the tools to make your business successful, which is why we are always striving to enhance and add new features.
 
Many improvements and new features were added to the product in 2016. These include the capability to de-duplicate & merge records, enhanced ReportingZapier integration and the Mapping Module.
 
We are looking forward to another exciting year, with many more improvements planned, including and update of the user interface and tablet version; we'll make the management of mailing lists within Workbooks easier to use and integrate with third-party emailing tools; and we also have exciting new products coming out. Watch out for product announcements in the first half of the year!

New Release - August 2016

We are pleased to announce an update to Workbooks that adds many useful features that you, our customers, have requested.  

Workbooks is being upgraded

 
PLEASE NOTE: The Workbooks service will be intermittently unavailable between 02:00 am - 04:00 am EST time, on Saturday 13 August 2016. If you log into your database on Saturday, you may get a message informing you that your database is being upgraded. Your database should be available for use within approximately 30 minutes of receiving the message.

Words of Wisdom is a monthly bulletin which brings you tips and tricks to enable you to complete your day-to-day role with ease. To access this and previous bulletins, please use the Bulletins option on your Start menu.

Reducing Your Storage Usage

Your Workbooks database will inevitably grow over time, but there are a few things you can do to use your allowance more efficiently.

Firstly, if you aren't aware how much you are using, we've made this easy for you to check by going to Configuration > Database > Storage Usage. This shows you a summary of your usage split by the area and should give you a good indication of where your problem areas are.

Once you know this, you are best equipped to start reducing this down. Our forum post 'Reducing your storage usage' runs through ideas for how to do this!

Sync your emails with Workbooks

We recently released the latest version of our Workbooks Outlook Connector, affectionately known as the WOC. The latest version is compatible with Outlook 2016, so if you have not done so already, you may want to upgrade your current version. It can be downloaded here.

For those of you that do not already use the WOC, you can find out more about how it can automatically synchronize emails, tasks and contacts between Workbooks and Outlook on Workbooks Knowledge Base.

That’s why we’re working on providing you with a fully operational tablet version of Workbooks. Take a sneak peak at the prototype that we’ve put together by watching this video. Workbooks is now running BETA on Zapier.com, allowing rapid links from Workbooks.com to over 500 apps (including Google Sheets, Trello, Gmail and Mailchimp). 
 
We recommend starting with GoToMeeting, Eventbrite and JIRA.

Workbooks introduces Workbooks 4.7 – With a New Year comes a New Release

Workbooks are pleased to announce Workbooks 4.7 – the latest release of their award winning CRM platform.

Following from customer feedback this update includes many new features including multi-lingual capabilities, Zapier app integration, data management and reporting enhancements.

Multi-lingual support

To support our international clients with offices around the world, Workbooks has added multi-lingual functionality to their CRM platform. Translations for French, German, Spanish and English American are provided in this release, the platform can support any other languages, including multi-byte character sets. Addition translations will be provided based on customer demand. Translation support enables clients to use different languages for field names, record names and also values held in pick lists and data tables.
